RTI Rules & Procedures (2005)
Application Process: Requests can be made in English, Hindi, or the official language of the area. No specific format is mandatory, but it must be in writing or electronic mode.
Application Fees: A fee of ₹10 is generally required, payable to the Public Information Officer. No fee is charged for individuals below the poverty line (BPL).
Normal Case: 30 days from receipt of application.
Penalty Clause: If the PIO fails to provide information without reasonable cause, a penalty of ₹250 per day (up to a maximum of ₹25,000) can be imposed by the Information Commission.
Important Notes: You do not need to provide a reason for requesting the information. The Act covers all government bodies, including local authorities, autonomous bodies, and companies owned or controlled by the government. For state government departments, specific State RTI Rules might apply regarding fees and forms.
How to Apply RTI Verification :
Mail all documents ( Verification Request letter and Supporting Documents ) in a pdf file to verify.svnuniversity@gmail.com before post the documents.
Any One Can Apply for Verification of original / photo copy of documents like detail marks certificate/ certificate etc.
Individual / companies / organisations / agencies/ Govt. Departments / Embassies who would like to verify the authenticity of the academic documents may have to following this procedure:
Write an application for verification on simple paper and also mention Regd.No, roll no , courses, session in application ( also attach self attested photo copy of your documents with application.
